The 2024 Pakistan Super League (HBL PSL 9) is the ninth season of the Pakistan Super League. Established by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in 2015 as a franchise Twenty20 cricket league, played between six teams in a double round-robin and page playoff system. The season will be across four cities in Pakistan from 17 February to 18 March 2024.



Format

Round Robin: Each team plays the other side twice, leading to a major league stage where teams get equal opportunities to climb the rankings.

Playoff Round: A unique playoff format that provides teams multiple chances to make it to the final, increasing the competitiveness of the postseason.

Schedule and Venues

The tournament starts from 17 February to 18 March 2024 across four cities in Pakistan. The cities involved have been Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Multan. especially in Lahore Gadaffi stadium, Karachi, Rawalpindi and Multan Cricket Stadium You see a lot of people Enjoying there and watching there Favourite Players.

Youth Development: Besides the regular matches played during PSL seasons, franchises also nurture young talents through various initiatives aimed by providing an enabling environment for emerging cricketers.

Teams

Traditionally, the Pakistan Super League has been composed of six teams that represent different cities within Pakistan;

Islamabad United - The Islamabad-based team is famous for their tactical approach towards the game plans where they were champions in previous editions.

Karachi Kings - Karachi-based franchise enjoys a huge fan following and provides stiff competition.

Lahore Qalandars – They are known for their energetic performances making Lahore both a favorite among supporters and an attractive side to watch.

Multan Sultans - They have shown incremental progress since its inception and have remained strong competitors.

Peshawar Zalmi - Coming from Peshawar, this team is known to be a fierce competitor with real supporters behind them.

Quetta Gladiators - The Quetta team has seen significant success and has a reputation for being a tough side.
